The best hard floor depends on your lifestyle, budget and where you will be installing it. Consider the following:
• Want a timber look that is more resistant to general wear and tear? Our laminate provides the look of timber, but is more resistant to wear, staining and fading.
• Will you be installing flooring in a wet area such as a bathrooms or laundry? Vinyl Planks by Godfrey Hirst are suitable for areas where excessive moisture is present.
• Is authentic timber important to you? For an authentic timber floor, our Engineered Timber ranges offer real timber finishes with a hard-wearing coating and are available in a variety of species.

It is always best to allow 5% to 10% extra for waste and cuts depending on the layout of the area.
Our Timber, Laminate and Bamboo are not suitable for wet areas, however the Vinyl is a great choice for bathrooms and laundries.
All the floors are designed for the DIY home installer. All floors should be installed in accordance with the manual unless otherwise specified.
We can provide installation as part of the sales package or after-sales service. Installation should be discussed with us during the sales negotiation.
Excessive moisture can lead to numerous changes to Timber, Bamboo and Laminate flooring. These changes, such as cupping, buckling or cracking are not experienced with Vinyl flooring.
All floors are low maintenance, usually requiring just a soft broom and a well wrung mop to keep clean.
